Hanchange VI Design

2017

Hanchange Early Education Center is themed around Chinese traditional culture. Through hands-on activities such as woodworking, pottery, and papercraft, it enriches children's practical experiences while promoting traditional culture throughout the process.

The name "汉巢" — where “Nest” (巢, cháo) shares the same pronunciation as “Dynasty” (朝, cháo) — conveys meanings of safety, protection, and construction.

"Change" represents the inheritance and innovation of traditional culture in the modern era.

Our logo is inspired by the Chinese character “汉” (Han), reflecting our early education center’s focus on sharing traditional Chinese culture through creative, hands-on workshops. The funnel-like shape symbolizes the passage of time — a continuous flow of cultural heritage from ancient times to today.

The main color, goose yellow, brings warmth and friendliness, while the six accent dots in sky blue, grass green, and vibrant orange-red represent imagination, freedom, and enthusiasm in children. These colors also reflect the core values of our team: stability, respect, and genuine care.

By rotating and transforming the funnel-like shape from the logo, we created an extending, connective graphic element. This auxiliary form stretches outward from the center, symbolizing openness and interaction. It is used across workshop spaces and related products to visually reinforce the brand identity.

This mascot is inspired by the Chinese character “巢” (nest) from our brand name “Hanchao.” The bee symbolizes admirable qualities such as diligence, cooperation, dedication, pragmatism, and self-discipline.

Its design features soft, rounded shapes, with big eyes and playful antennae. Even the bee’s typically intimidating stinger has been transformed into a harmless, friendly sphere, making the character more approachable and child-friendly.
