KAYAK, a slender, solitary little boat, gently skimming the water, drifting slowly along, like us in our life.
The short film explores obsessive introspection and the growing alienation from one’s own body. In a surreal setting, the protagonist faces existential questions and inner conflict. Fragmented, dreamlike images mirror her distorted perception as excessive self-reflection erodes her sense of physical reality. The sound of water runs throughout the film, yet it is never seen. It functions as a symbolic backdrop, evoking transition, isolation, and transformation. KAYAK unfolds as a sensuous and poetic meditation on the fragile, subtle interplay between thought, emotion, and embodied experience.
